Successful candidates will have spent at least 10 years in progressively responsible positions for project controls and purchasing for capital building and engineering projects ranging from $100,000 to $10 million in value. Ideal candidates will have expertise in pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of project controls (cost and schedule management) methods and tools, commercial management experience for all project phases: preconstruction, construction, commissioning & validation; ability to interpret blueprints and undertake quantity takeoffs from construction design documentation; proven track record in developing , as well as a degree in design, engineering, or construction. Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills are also required.
REQUIREMENTS
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
*10 years progressively responsible experience in manufacturing facilities engineering management.
* 3 - 5 + years of experience in Project Controls (cost estimating & CPM scheduling) required.
* Commercial management experience for all project phases: preconstruction, construction, commissioning & validation
* Ability to interpret blueprints and undertake quantity takeoffs from construction design documentation
* Proven track record in developing cost estimates at both conceptual and detailed levels.
* Proficient in progress measurement / earned value techniques for project controls purposes
* Experience developing integrated project schedules
* Capital planning and financial reporting experience
* Supplier management to include contract development, bidding, negotiation and contract administration.
*Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. Examples of report writing required.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
*A valid driver?s license and clean driving record is required for this position.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Pharmaceutical Facilities/Engineering experience to include office, R&D laboratories, mechanical / electrical infrastructure, central plant, sitework, building expansions, BAS, process controls.
*4-year degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience)
*Knowledge of cGMP and GLP requirements related to design, construction and renovation of manufacturing facilities
*Risk Analysis and risk assessment workshop experience related to cost estimate development
* Furniture and equipment procurement
