Big-company reach, small-company attitude! AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, is currently has multiple openings for a Sr Program Manager. The Sr PM will work in various product areas that may include EW Test and Simulation Equipment, Automatic Test Equipment and Boresight Equipment. The selected individual will be a key player working in a team environment to accomplish the following:

• Program management to include cost, schedule, risk and technical management.


• Development of product line strategies.


• Working with product design teams to formulate new products and solutions to satisfy customer requirements.


• Management and coordination of proposal activities.


• Formulation of plans and objectives for assigned programs and business development activities.

Required Skills

• Understanding of various hardware and software engineering technologies.


• Knowledge and understanding of the procurement or acquisition processes for Department of Defense (DoD) and International customers and markets.


• Demonstrated cost and financial management knowledge to include program cost control, profit and loss, cash and inventory skills.


• Understanding of applicable military and commercial specifications and standards; such as AS9100 and ISO 9000/14001 requirements.


• Personal computer skills (e.g., word processing, spread sheet, presentation graphics).


• Effective written and oral communication skills.


• Leadership and team building skills.


• Ability to direct goal oriented activities of a diverse work force.


• Ability to plan, organize and schedule.


• Understanding of Sarbanes/Oxley and other legal compliance requirements.

Required Experience
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or science combined with technical training / experience in aerospace electronic systems Program Management. The ideal candidate will possess a Program Management Professional certification. Experience in the Test and Maintenance Equipment or Electronic Warfare fields is desired but not necessarily required.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of eight years direct program management experience in managing all aspects of a program including: proposal development, program planning, cost/schedule/risk management, vendor and subcontract management, engineering and manufacturing management. The position requires the candidate to understand the government acquisition process and the candidate must have demonstrated experience in the development of new business including leading the development of proposals. The candidate should possess knowledge and experience in working in the RF technology area with special interest in the electronic warfare and automatic test equipment.
