  Job Description:            
    We are looking for a SR. SCHEDULER who can support the construction of a mine. The project requires a Scheduler with large industrial construction experience and who is bilingual (English/Spanish). The scopes will include civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, automation systems, and IT fo large complex mining projects. The focus is to support the schedule development from the Owner?s side, facilitating planning sessions, and supporting schedule development, while at the same time mentoring team on scheduling principles.

RESPONSIBILITITES

* Develop schedule architecture and baseline for Integrated Project Schedules (IPS), including multiple scopes across multiple organizations and multiple schedulers.
* Versatile people skills, from the field foreman to the vice president.
* Provides technical support and mentoring to other team members.
* Manage and directly support schedule update process.
* Perform what-if schedule scenarios, advanced schedule analysis, and variance analysis reports.
* Manage schedule changes, analyze change impact, and perform forensic schedule analysis. Assess the impact(s) of design, construction, and execution changes and associated cost growth and/or schedule slippages. Evaluates proposed process improvements, requests for information (RFIs), and differing site conditions for impacts to the project in terms of cost and/or schedule.
* Identifies project control issues through various methods and provides proposed solutions to address problems. Works closely with other project controls team members on resolving issues identified building on technical knowledge, designing innovative short cuts, and reviewing engineering alternatives.
Analyzes project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas and trends that may be of concern to the project success. Documents these with appropriate back up.
* Analyze critical path and constraint.s to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend mitigation and potential work-arounds.
* Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slippages identified in schedule
* Monitor and analyze productivity and earned value.
* Summarize schedule status in a narrative and create status reports and presentations for management.
* Performs as the schedule lead, facilitates schedule meetings, and possibly manages others.
* Develops schedule related processes, procedures, and training.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

* Strong communication and presentation capabilities: written and verbal
* Demonstrate a team spirit and strong dedication to success of the team.
* Multiple large-scale complex project experience or program experience, $100MM+.
* Advanced knowledge in the construction of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
* Experience with master site planning, field planning/scheduling and progressing.
* Advanced knowledge and experience in Primavera Project Planner and MS Project.
* Relevant Construction Experience 10+ years and Primavera Experience 7+ years
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Any certification from PMI or AACE is beneficial
