    Job # 4980: Pharmaceutical Project Controls Lead

The Spear Group, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Project Controls Lead for our major Pharmaceutical client located in Rahway, NJ. The position will be to develop and update Project Controls for multiple upcoming maintenance and construction projects related to the pharmaceutical complex. In addition, some project level cost analysis may be performed.

Responsibilities include:
Assist teams in the planning and scheduling of their projects or initiatives, using standard coding structures.
Gather and validate scheduling information from multiple groups both within and outside the company.
Prepare overall Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Validation schedules.
Update/Status project or other initiatives schedules on a regular basis, and provide analysis.
Provide resource loading, analysis of actual vs. planned, density and shutdown analysis, as required.
Support the front end planning and funding process (schedule, resources, cost analysis, etc).
Support schedule risk analysis.
Review and validate subcontractor's schedules and reported progress.
Identify schedule opportunities and potential slippages as they arise.
Provide critical path analysis and present critical path activities within schedules.

Experience Required:
A minimum of 5 years scheduling and/or cost engineering experience.
Engineering degree or commensurate work experience.
Proficient in scheduling techniques with demonstrated experience in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling software.; knowledge of SAP a plus.
Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry is required, with prior maintenance construction and project experience.
Strong communication and analytical skills
Experience in organizing and scheduling maintenance work (PM?s and corrective maintenance)
Experience in resource-loading and leveling
