    Capo Projects Group (CPG) is a construction and technical services company specializing in construction management, project management, project controls and engineering services for a multitude of projects and programs across the western US. CPG services a wide range of construction, engineering and capital improvement programs from our offices in Orange County, San Diego and Portland. The Project Scheduler is an integral member of the Project Management team supporting comprehensive schedules to ensure that projects are optimally planned, organized, and resourced. Versed in the means and methods of construction, and supported by state-of-the-art software and technology, our team provides comprehensive cost, resource and project management solutions.
Our firm is currently looking for a dedicated Project Scheduler to be located in the Los Angeles area. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute project controls, scheduling and project management services for one of the largest school bond programs in the United States.

Responsibilities:
? Reviews Contractor?s Baseline schedule submissions and provides narrative
? Performs QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract. Reviews critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones
? Performs schedule impact analysis for contractor change orders and conducts schedule negotiations for contractor change orders
? Performs Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis
? Tracks and gets involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
? Walks the field, checks the contractor?s weekly and monthly schedule progress and provides reports to the project OAR and upper management
? Reads drawings to determine if work is in or out of scope, and understands terms and conditions of the contract to determine comprehensibility, as well as concurrent delays
? Proactively anticipates schedule impacts and advises Project Team concerning the same
? Effectively communicates with the Contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in the weekly status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
? Prepares reports as needed and directed by Management
? Communicates with Project Teams and leadership
? Actively participates in Program-level scheduling issues while administering best practices and standards
? Performs Program Schedule QA/QC reviews on a regular basis
? Performs status updates for Program Schedules/Master Schedules on a twice-monthly basis
? Ensures proper use of Program-level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity
? Develops initial project schedules in anticipation of Board Approval
? Serves as a liaison between Branches and the Program & Project Controls department

Qualifications:
? Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor?s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
? 8 years of full-time paid professional experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
? Proficiency in Primavera 8.1 or above and MS Office Suite.
? Working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner (P3).
? Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
? Excellent oral and written communication.
? Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties.
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
