Job #4891: Junior Estimator - Whitehouse Station or West Point Pharmaceutical Plants
The Spear Group has needs for a Jr. Estimator. Locations would be for West Point, PA or in Whitehouse Station, NJ working for the supporting capital construction projects in Global Estimating.
Duration: 18-24 months
Primary Role(s):
? Responsible for implementation, execution, and administration of estimating systems and standards for all capital projects as assigned.
? Work with the Capital Project Services Leader, Design Leader Front-End and other stakeholders in developing and maintaining estimates from concept through project execution.
? Work with Project Managers and others in performing and/or assessing cost estimates associated with project change.
? Provides support in the development of new procedures, standards, and programs associated with Estimating Capital Management in general.
? Fosters an environment of creativity and innovation in optimizing capital project delivery across the division.
? Input into development of project controls execution plans, auditing processes, capital budgeting, and forecasting.
? Support the creation and maintenance of capital project delivery metrics
? Collection and distribution of historical performance data to support internal and external benchmarking efforts.
? Bachelor?s degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management or relevant experience
? Minimum of 1 - 2 years in Project Services/Project Controls/Estimating for capital projects preferably in Pharmaceutical / Biotech environment
? Experience in the successful implementation of organizational Project Portfolio Management and Project Controls processes related to estimating, procedures and technology is required
? Demonstrated understanding of business drivers, customer needs and multi-site dynamics to develop budgets based on viable strategic plans.
Desired:
? Project Services/Project Controls/Estimating experience with capital projects >$20M is preferred.
? Experience in strategy deployment would be an advantage
? Membership in AACEi or knowledge of standard practices promoted by the organization
