Job Purpose & Responsibilities
· Prepare and analyze project cost reports to communicate the information with the project team and upper management weekly.
· Analyzing and interpreting data provided by Project Managers and work with subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely submittal of cost reports and other progress reporting.
· Interface and collaborate with key project team members: Schedule, Project Management, Accounting, Procurement, Construction Management and Field Project Controls.
· Identify potential cost risks early allowing project team decisions and workarounds.
· Preparing performance variance analysis to evaluate the actual cost vs. budget and adjust cost forecasts accordingly.
· Develop staffing plans, analyze labor and productivity.
· Collect contractor daily tickets to develop daily spend, identify and track cost to date on all projects.
· Ensure timely and accurate cost reporting.
· Use cost reports to ensure purchase orders are in place for contractors and the amounts sufficiently cover budgeted amounts.
· Check contractor invoices to ensure contracted rates are used and reconcile amounts to tracking sheets.
