| Job #4816: Cost Engineer - Pharmaceutical Capital Projects
The Spear Group is seeking a Cost Engineer for our Client, a major multi billion dollar Pharmaceutical company building a brand new Manufacturing and Laboratory facility in Covington, GA. This is a large, long term project lasting 1.5 years or longer. The Cost Engineer will be responsible for all cost, some scheduling and earned value management and reporting for the project. Specific duties include: Utilize industry standards, tools and techniques to assess, control and forecast costs and to plan, schedule, and manage a major pharmaceutical expansion project Accumulating owner costs and input from prime contractors Develop project level cost and schedule progress reports Prepare budgets and project plans Evaluate progress, both cost and schedule Validate cost estimates from prime contractors Perform risk assessments Forecast At Completion Costs Implement best practices Review proposed estimates and schedules Compare actual costs to budgeted costs Analyze cost and schedule variances Requirements: Bachelors Degree preferred Must have current cost and EVM experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical/Biological Construction setting. Primavera P6 experience is a plus, not a requirement Prefer candidates local/commutable to Covington, Georgia. |
