    Job #4812: Senior Project Controls Engineer - California Remediation Projects

Location: El Segundo, CA
Assignment Length: Long term

Our Client, a leading Aerospace and Defense company, is seeking a senior level Project Controls / Project Management professional that can assist in assessing current situation, develop strategies, and then implementing those initiatives on a CERCLA funded Remediation project taking place in Southern California.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who would be focused more on the engineering and project control services so that she can integrate an additional/independent review of the design, review of the current estimates, and possibly getting their support to establish the initial structure for project controls.

Ideally the manager is really looking for a resource that would be an extension of her?a steward for Client that she could rely on for design review(s), backup/support for project management duties, and initial organizational structure development.


Job Description:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

5+ years Project Controls experience in Aerospace or DoD industry, preferably on Remediation projects
An understanding of Federal, EPA and California Environmental Laws, Rules and Regulations is preferred
CERCLA experience preferred
Must be knowledgeable in various scheduling software
Knowledgeable in MS Office
Earned Value experience preferred
SAP is a plus
PMP Certification is a plus
