| REPORTS TO: TAR Lead
LOCATION: Martinez, California PROJECT DURATION: 18 months BASIC FUNCTION: Provide estimating and planning expertise for development, design and execution of Hydrocracker and gas plant TAR Project. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, & Outlook Effective verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Hydrocracker Experience in a refining or chemical facility Ability to scope work requests, estimate man hours, and materials from field walk is a must. Minimum of 10 years of refinery field experience with emphasis on Hydrocracker and associated gas plants. Primavera P6 ? (general working knowledge and capabilities of program) PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate and interact with other disciplines in a professional manner. Assist contractors in plan and cost development. Create detailed scope documents from sometimes vague work requests Develop detailed work plans and produce high quality estimates for TAR work requests Read, understand and markup P&IDs. Read and understand abstract information from P&ID's, ISO drawings and engineering packages Develop cost estimates from quotes to be assembled against the relevant Work Order to allow detailed planning of the estimate. Prepare a complete cost estimate for turnaround Total Cost including all fixed, variable, direct, and indirect costs. Walk down the work request to gather all information needed to produce a quality plan Works closely with the Scheduler, Specialists, Superintendents and Coordinators to accurately determine work activities. Ability to gather information and assemble a thorough Excel based scope document and estimate per plant policy Develop job and shutdown timelines Work with Technical / Engineering to ensure quality control Scope and estimate jobs ? labor, materials, total cost Define labor resource requirements to execute work EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 15 years of turnaround experience. TAR Planner with field experience Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft systems is a must 10+ years in petrochemical refining with emphasis on Hydrocracker. Maintenance planning experience with PC planning, scheduling tools and software a plus Gas Plant experience is preferred.. Experience using process flow diagrams and P&ID?s required. SAP and Hard Dollar (or similar) estimating software is a plus. |
