  Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Controls Manager supports controls for designated projects and programs by assisting project teams with systems setup, training, maintenance and support. Manages document control software using Primavera and SharePoint.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Develop, maintain, and implement scheduling procedures, processes and standards. Ensure that company scheduling procedures and guidelines are being followed in all business units to provide consistent service.
-Develop and manage in-house and external scheduling project resources.
-Establish standardized procedures for document control software using
-Primavera and SharePoint.
-Assess project schedules in regard to risk management and ensure schedules meet contract requirements.
-Review, monitor and critique the accuracy and realism of project schedules.
-Challenge project teams on critical schedule issues.
-Provide support to project teams in assessing project delays/impacts, alternate work plans and methods of construction.
-Support the prequalification process.
-Review and assist project teams with monthly cost reporting, including cash flow.
-Attend and support project kick-off meetings.
-Audit project reports and data to ensure the quality of project information is accurately reported.
-Pursue own developmental goals and keeps up-to-date with industry changes that could increase operational efficiency.
-Make decisions and solve problems using sound reasoning and judgment within a framework of business priorities.
-Proactively manage the training and professional development of project controls employees.
-Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders (management, clients, peers and support areas) to achieve common goals.
-Execute additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
-Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and individuals for success.
-Must have extensive experience in document control software such as.
-Primavera and SharePoint.
-Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision; able to coordinate and expedite multiple tasks and priorities.
-Excellent knowledge of principles and best practices in managing project controls.
-Effective computer skills, including proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software required.
-Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
-Ability to gather and interpret technical or abstract data to resolve extraordinarily difficult and uncommon problems.
-Ability to provide management and technical support to multiple teams of professionals.
-Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
-Exhibit maturity and self-control, even in situations involving conflict or stress, with capacity to successfully resolve conflicts.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree from four-year college or university in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years progressive and position related work experience in project controls management and responsibility for project delivery preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience managing and developing diverse teams, effectively measuring performance and providing timely feedback preferred.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office and occasionally work in a construction environment. Conditions occasionally include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is regularly moderate and occasionally loud. Must occasionally travel.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently stand, walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift and or move 5 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
