The WBS Planner / Scheduler supports program scope and schedule integration including the Integrated Master Schedule/Plan (IMS/IMP) creation, baselining and change control. The IMS Program Planner/Scheduler collaborates with program management, technical and business team members to plan, create, monitor and analyze network schedules for program schedule performance and related metrics.
Outlined are some of the duties: - Construct and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and work scope decomposition to achieve and effectively measure to program objectives.
- Work in a teaming environment to effectively model the technical work in support of the program Statement of Work (SOW)
- Ensure the IMS is vertically and horizontally networked in order to perform Critical Path analysis.
- Conduct weekly/monthly detailed analysis to Program Events as well as intermediate milestones.
- Provide consulting support and training to Program Team members (IPMT, CIPT, Systems, IPT, etc?), infusing scheduling best-practices into Pratt & Whitney?s program plans.
- Maintain and control program schedule baselines.
- Validate cost and schedule integration between Primavera and SAP.
- Follow and update program scheduling procedures and standard work.
Required: - Experience in project management programs (i.e. Primavera, MS Project, Open Plan).
- Understanding of earned-value management principles.
- Proficiency with MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word).
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
Preferred: - Knowledge in the application of integrated cost/schedule techniques on major programs
- Primavera experience
- Experience on DoD compliance programs, requirements and reporting requirements. Familiarity with: DID-81861,Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR).
- Experience using a Monte Carlo schedule risk simulator (i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Fuse)
- Familiarity with the NDIA's Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide
- Understanding of systems/project engineering concepts and practices
- Ability to acquire a DoD security clearance
Required: - Bachelor?s degree with 2-5+ years of experience working as a Program Scheduler and/or in an Earned Value Management position.
- Associates degree with 5-10+ years of experience.
Preferred: - Degree in engineering, business, project or construction management.
- Formal training in Earned Value Management.
- Formal training in program scheduling.
