  Job Description:            
    THE PROGRAM SCHEDULER WILL PROVIDE VARIOUS PLANNING AND SCHEDULING RELATED TASKS INCLUDING PREPARING SCHEDULES AND REVIEWING SCHEDULES PREPARED BY CONSULTANTS OR CONTRACTORS, FOR DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AND WASTEWATER SUPPORT PROJECTS.

?Serve as the main P6 scheduler to support the wastewater capital program development and management.
?Create and maintain a master program schedule inclusive of all projects in the capital program.
?Identify and include internal client tasks and durations in the project schedules using Primavera P6.
?Cost load schedule activities and utilize level of effort activities so that the schedules can be exported and tied to other cost reporting tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel or the Client?s Web Based Project Management tool, if applicable, to assist in creating cash flow projections.
?Interact with the Client and Program Manager?s project controls and planning staff to assist with preparing project schedules for all identified projects.
?Support the Client?s finance group by preparing additional scheduling reports for specified jobs.
?Cost control - generating cost reports, reporting and analysis.
?Develops and updates summary level as well as detailed schedules.
?Creates reports for varying management levels.
?Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
?Develops realistic activity durations based on production rates and available manpower based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
?Assigns resources (cost, labor) to activities and develops cash flow reports and resource histograms.
?Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences and assess actual progress.
?Identifies schedule changes and trends.
?Develops earned value reports.
?Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.

REQUIRED SKILLS

?Candidates must have strong oral communication and presentation skills.
?Must have a minimum of 5-7 yrs. experience within this field preferably with some CIP experience (water/wastewater project experience Is a plus).
?Strong to excellent understanding of Earned Value concept and calculations.
?Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software
?Highly articulate, clear and analytical approach to problem solving.
?Clear decision making abilities.
?Thoroughly understands and utilizes Information Technology in the performance of their work including Internet, Intranet, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.
?Ability to conduct necessary research and compile comprehensive reports;
?Ability to multi-task with accuracy;
?Ability to work well with minimal supervision and function as part of an interdisciplinary team.

This is a 4 yr. project and would require someone who lives within commuting distance of SW Washington DC or willing to relocate with assistance to the area. This need is ASAP so someone local would be the preference.
