Our client is in need of an experienced Engineer Project Planner to support a new wind turbine project in Providence, RI.

The Engineer Project Planner is responsible for the project planning and scheduling of Provport activities under the lead of the US Project Manager and Project Planner. Will manage the planning on the day to day activities including monitoring of progress compared to schedule commitments, identification of the critical path, coordination of the Provport team and the different Function, management of the project float, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to drive on-time performance with the goal to complete the activities on time. Main objective will be to anticipate issues and explore alternatives to ensure the planners' role of co-driver of the Project. Will work closely with the US Project Manager when dealing with the external customers and is supporting the Contract Manager for claiming.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Detailed ProvPort Schedule: Manage the day to day planning including, participation to the daily meetings, going to the site to see and measure the progress, to evaluate the roadblock, to monitor resources and materials identifying all deviation. Report activities in the planning.
- Analysis: Analyze schedule performance compared to the established project plan using critical path analysis method (CPM) and float management, with a focus on early identification of risks and opportunities to facilitate proactive actions that will optimize on-time performance of internal and sub-contracted deliverables.
- Analyzing the information received, identifying pending points and notifying the US Project Manager & Project Planner of the status and the recommended strategies based on planning scenario.
- Work preparation: From the detailed planning prepare with the US PM and the site team the forecast activities at short, mid & long term. Check with the required function / contractors that material and manpower are ready for the works to come.
- Reporting: Track and report schedule performance. Prepare schedule and progress reports including S-curves as per contract and internal requirements. Provide planning input data for internal organization and prepare Customer progress report.
- Responsibilities on EHS: Comply with EHS policy and include in the planning all action relating to HSE.

Key Performance indicators:
- Process application (identification of the Float of the project activities, Critical Path analysis and optimization, S-curves, quality of the recommendations made to the project team and organization, progress reports)
- Report on the daily basis to the US PM , weekly basis to the Project Planner and in monthly basis prepare the information for the Project planner to integrate information in the MPR, MPM, ?
- Will lead his/her own logfile to follow actions and record progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor?s degree required. MS degree in Engineering or Business a plus.
- Minimum two years of project planner experienced in a Project team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Fluent in English. French &/or Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge/Experience in Planning, Industrial activities, and Working in team
- Proficiency in Primavera software required or other planning tools like MS Project, PSN8.
- Good computer skills, including MS Office. A demonstrated background with scheduling, spreadsheet, and database software is also required.
- Technical knowledge about similar technic that WTG (mechanical, electrical, ?)
