We are currently hiring a Project Scheduler to provide support on a large program with the United States Census Bureau in Suitland, MD. This project supports the Decennial Management Division (DMD) in a committed team effort conducting a census that costs less per housing unit than the 2010 census, all while maintaining high-quality results. To achieve the cost and quality targets, in addition to meeting strategic goals, fundamental changes must be made to the design, implementation, and management of the 2020 Decennial Census.
The Project Scheduler will work within a functional team that includes project managers, project planners, risk management specialists, budgeting specialists, quality control specialists; other critical staff members. Ability to effectively collaborate and work well in a team environment is vital to being a success in this role.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience supporting schedule management
Proficiency in scheduling with MS Project
Strong experience developing and managing integrated master schedules (IMS)
Ability to lead a schedule development effort
Strong written and oral communication skills
Bachelors degree in a related discipline required, masters preferred
PMI-SP certification as a scheduling professional is preferred; PMP certification or Schedule certification from the American Association of Cost Engineering (AACE) is also acceptable
