| COST ENGINEER NEEDED FOR THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE AREA
? Long Term ? Full Benefits ? 9-80 Work Schedule ? Every Other Friday Off We?re looking for a Cost Engineer to join a growing Project Controls Department in support of Refinery Projects. The Cost Engineer will be responsible for: ? Supporting the delivery or consistent but appropriate cost management structures for small and medium size projects. ? Creating and maintaining project WBS structures in SAP. ? Supporting the development of Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate. ? Creating and maintaining Project Cost Plans in SAP based on project estimated costs. ? Creating service and material requisitions in SAP. ? Verifying purchase orders and work orders are set up in accordance with established WBS structures and project estimate. ? Creating and maintaining project labor charge numbers in SAP. ? Performing monthly SOX control review of project open commitments and actual costs to identify any misallocation of costs, unauthorized or incorrect capitalization of labor or overheads, and expenditures to verify posting to the appropriate WBS elements. ? Completing monthly updates of Value of Work Done in SAP to post accruals. ? Working closely with project team to develop project cash flow forecast and updating on a monthly basis. ? Maintaining and promoting realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from the project teams. ? Completing monthly forecast updates to maintain accurate reporting of Latest Estimate/Estimate at Completion in SAP. ? Processing project change requests and maintaining project change logs and contingency rundown curves. ? Monitoring commitments and actuals on a regular basis to verify spend is in accordance with plans. ? Generating monthly cost reports and preparing monthly project review meeting work books including cost reports, cost progress curves, change logs, and contingency rundown curves. ? Facilitating monthly project review meetings and assisting the Project Cost Controls Lead in reviewing monthly reports. ? Verifying project closeout is completed in a timely manner following mechanical completion including working with buyers to de-commit and close purchase orders and final confirmation of project structure in SAP. ? Assisting with the roll out of emerging company standard tools and processes and applying them on projects. BACKGROUND: The ideal Cost Engineer will have: ? 10+ years of experience ? BS in Accounting / Finance or a related field ? Good working experience with SAP. ? Microsoft experience. ? 4+ years of experience in refining, manufacturing, or petrochemical experience in projects, turnarounds, or maintenance. EOE F/M/Disabled/Veteran |
