We?re looking for a Lead-Level Project Scheduler / Planner to support projects at a refinery in the Golden Triangle. The Scheduler / Planner will be responsible for:
? Acting as the site focal point for Primavera Project Database in order to manage security and integrity.
? Delivering and maintaining consistent and realistic plans and controls structures for each project.
? Maintaining an understanding of the list of plans required to execute the assigned project portfolio and their interface to other projects within the portfolio.
? Developing the activities, logic, resources loading, and progress to provide fully integrated project schedule leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance.
? Developing the planning and progress monitoring procedures in order to verify that each element of the project performs the processes timely and consistently.
? Assisting management with the overall schedule monthly progress update cycle, forecast, critical path, and trend analyses.
? Developing status reporting framework and providing regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to project management.
? Reviewing scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project.
? Preparing reconciliation between earlier schedules and the current schedule.
? Consolidating the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones including productivity monitoring and ?what if scenarios? in order to aid project management decision making.
? Contributing to the development of the project risk profiles and translating these into the plans using deterministic and probabilistic analysis methods as appropriate.
? Regularly tracking the schedule risk mitigation efforts, the criticality of the main paths to completion, float consumption and the release of schedule contingency.
? Implementing and utilizing the standard tool, project standards, and control procedures.
? Providing input data for and conducting benchmarking activities and support development of KPIs.
? Delivering close out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work.
? Maintaining historical database of scheduling activities, durations, and overall cycle times.
? Developing a schedule basis to document how project plan was developed.
The Planner / Scheduler should be able to work well in a team environment and be able to adjust to changing workloads and schedules.
BACKGROUND:
The ideal Planner / Scheduler will have:
? 10+ years of experience.
? Refinery or petrochemical experience.
? Good working experience with SAP, P6, GSAP.
