Job Description:
	Position: Project Controls Scheduler Location: Cleveland, VA Contract Length: -/+ 11 months Per Diem and mob/de-mob Position Summary: Experienced project controls professional with a cost engineering and / or schedule background to integrate and analyze all cost, schedule and earned value metrics for the Owner on a construction project at an existing coal fired power plant. This position will be working very closely with the Owner's site construction team to provide cost and progress information that can be used to monitor and verify the construction activities measure performance and identify improvement opportunities. Additional duties include providing financial forecast updates, budget variance reporting, producing quality construction metrics and progress reports. This position will also include interfacing with project management teams and external contractors on schedule matters; performing Quality Assurance and Quality Control checks on contractor schedules, statusing AEP internal activities weekly, providing weekly schedule reports to the project teams, and producing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for upper management. Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, team focused, and willing to work in a variety of capacities as the member of a small site construction management team. As the Owner's project controls lead this position will be coordinating and integrating the project's earned value management process with multiple subcontractors providing input. Minimum Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cost engineer/scheduler on major industrial projects. Exposure to CPM scheduling and earned value management required. Education: Bachelor degree in technical/business field or equivalent experience. Systems: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with corporate cost systems and report writers such as Business Objects a plus.
