Our client is currently hiring a Metrics Management Analyst to provide support on a large program with the United States Census Bureau in Suitland, MD. This project supports the Decennial Directorate in a committed team effort conducting a census that costs less per housing unit than the 2010 census, all while maintaining high-quality results. To achieve the cost and quality targets, in addition to meeting strategic goals, fundamental changes must be made to the design, implementation, and management of the 2020 Decennial Census.
The Metrics Management Analyst will work within a functional team that includes project schedulers, project planners, budgeting specialists, risk management specialists, quality control specialists, and; other critical Program Management staff members. Ability to work well in a team environment and tolerate differences in personality is vital to being a success in this role.
You will effectively analyze, synthesize and prioritize business information to identify challenges and facilitate solutions as well effectively communicate findings to management. Successfully implement business analytics projects, produces periodic management reports and analytics and build effective communication tools (i.e. decks, emails, memos, etc). Providing performance/metrics analysis support on project schedules. Ensures consistent and effective reports are provided in timely manner to key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a Metric or Performance Management position
Deep knowledge and understanding of Performance Management best practices
Familiarity with program dashboards
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Strong analysis and data manipulation skills
Advanced in spreadsheet, reporting and database tools (MS Excel, MS Access)
Bachelors degree in a related discipline required, masters preferred
