SUMMARY:

The primary duties of the Scheduler/Project Controls requires a highly energetic, detail oriented individual who will assist the Bid Manager(s), Project Manager(s), and Superintendent(s) with planning, scheduling and monitoring all aspects of major design, design/build and construction management projects. The Scheduler/Project Controls will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties.



Expected Outcomes include, but are not limited to:
-Preparation of a comprehensive CPM project schedule which provides all levels of management accurate data for decision-making and forecasting.
-Preparation and archive of accurate history data from completed projects.
-Develop and maintain physical progress tracking tools specific to project needs.
-Timely schedule updates are made and communicated to Project Team per management specifications.
-Continuous analyses of cost and schedule impact of BEC and subcontractor schedules. Detailed warnings of changes to be provided to Project Manager in a timely manner.
-Able to communicate effectively at every level of the Project Team. Must be able to facilitate impromptu meetings to address scheduling issues and/or concerns.
-Delight and serve internal and external customers at all levels.
-Meet with owners and represent BEC and the capabilities of the BEC Controls Program
-Grow the BEC Controls program capabilities to meet the company's needs for today and tomorrow



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Support Pre Construction and Estimating department with Level 1 and 2 CPM schedules for procurement of new projects.
-Review and advise budgets required for owner provided project scheduling specifications.
-Prepare baseline schedules and perform schedule analysis.
-Regular schedule update analysis and time impact analysis, for BEC and subcontractor schedules.
-Coordinate and manage subcontractor schedules inputs and updates to master schedule.
-Coordinate activity between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
-Resource, commodity, and cost loading, trending, forecasting, critical path control and analysis
-Lead the development of WBS and Activity Code Structures.
-Develop and safe template schedules and fragnets for future use(s)
-Prepare weekly and monthly reports on status and progress of project(s). This may include many off and on-line trackers of physical progress.
-Monitor, forecast, and report project execution changes and determine impact on the project
-Integrate multiple projects into project master schedule
-Balanced time sheets between job cost and overhead cost. Ensure Project Manager knows and understands job cost required for services requested.
-Assist in corporate training of others. This could be on a one on one basis and/or large groups
-Develop, update, and maintain BEC?s Project Controls Guide Book
-Develop and administer project specific sub contractor scheduling specification
-Maintain, answer, and monitor ?help line? phone calls and emails from BEC users
-Attend and participate and project meeting(s). May include monthly progress meeting, BEC 30% review point, key subcontractor kick off meetings, etc. The exact needs to be determined by the Project Manager.



ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
-A four year degree in Construction Engineering and Technology, Civil Engineering or related field of study
-A minimum of four (4) years experience in construction Project Controls with emphasis in Project Scheduling
-Experience in Primavera products; P3, P5, P6



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and listening skills
-Strong training skills for one on one and large group training
-Be willing to help in other areas of the business during slow times
-Ability to travel and work at job site locations
