The duties for the position are to develop an integrated schedule for the completion of the programs engineering organization. The schedule will include activities at JB and at each site
Planner assists in the design of planned work and design change packages. Conducts field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventative maintenance, modification and surveillance activities. Defines procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to perform planned work packages. Acts as liaison with engineering department and/or vendors to coordinate activities. Develops work standards to support work packages. May provide guidance to more junior system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of overall packages. Is responsible for the development of computerized critical- path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities as well as for refueling and maintenance outages. Prepares and analyzes daily work schedules to optimize equipment availability and manpower usage; recommends appropriate modifications. Publishes daily work schedules and monitors progress. Documents schedule problems, maintains statistics and performs trend analysis. May provide guidance to nonexempt employees as assigned. This is a career-level exempt position (full competency)
Job Requirements
A minimum of eight (8) years of planning and/or scheduling experience in a nuclear facility, preferred; OR
A minimum of three (3) years planning experience AND 10 years trade nuclear power experience in Engineering, Maintenance (electrical, mechanical, I&C) or Operations; OR
A minimum of eight (8) years of technical experience in Engineering, Maintenance, or Operations AND an AS Degree in Engineering or related physical science; OR
A minimum of six (6) years technical experience in Engineering, Maintenance, or Operations AND a BS degree in Engineering or related physical science.
Prior relevant military experience may be considered as equivalent.
Must be knowledgeable of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, online scheduling applications and work management processes.
Completion of a Maintenance Trade apprenticeship program with applicable trade experience, or engineering/nuclear plant operations experience preferred.
