Develops detailed Gantt or PERT charts using Primavera for complex, multidiscipline Major Capital, O&M and special projects. Meets with all participating organizations, Engineering, Maintenance and Construction and the sponsoring organization to coordinate, finalize and update schedules. Should have experience in resource loading to determine personnel requirements to support engineering, design and construction activities for the project. Prepares exception reports in conjunction with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to inform upper management of the status of projects in relation to established deadlines. Maintains and updates Project Explorer to meet the needs of Central Engineering Departments and the User Organizations. Reviews construction schedules to ensure conformance with overall project requirements. Periodically meets with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to report on schedule variances to the baseline schedule. Prepare exception reports for executive meetings that highlight sensitive projects critical to the operation of the company.
Must be able to travel to various company locations and outside locations as required. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE as required.
Job Requirements
Requires experience and expertise in either engineering design and construction of substation and steam facilities or scheduling/coordinating larger capital projects.
Requires working knowledge of the major activities of a project from inception through construction.
Strong oral and written communications skills are required with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks and priorities and have the ability to meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in the use of Primavera scheduling systems, as well as extensive working knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL.
