| The Middlesex Corporation is a leader in road, bridge and marine construction throughout the Northeast and Southeast United States. We are able to respond to customer demand with high-quality products and service. We are seeking to add a Tack Truck Driver to our team who responsible for safely and productively operate and handle equipment, calibrate and operate distributor. This position will report to our Florida Region Office in Orlando.
Responsibilities: ? Must be on site at scheduled start time and be present for the Daily Huddle. ? Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. ? Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, reach, twist, bend, lifting a minimum of 45lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hand and fingers. ? Maintain proper maintenance of truck and distributor including tire pressure, fluid levels, etc. ? Heat tack and operate tack truck ? Take beginning/ending rack readings and complete tack report ? Communicate with dispatchers using 2-way radios and verbal communication ? Ability to read a map to navigate around the Central FL area ? Must be able to compete log books, vehicle inspection and site condition reports ? Assist on the job as needed when not tacking ? Protect areas that are not supposed to be primed ? Must be able to work nights and weekends ? Must have a CDL Class B. Class A preferred ? Tanker endorsement required, Hazmat preferred ? Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English ? Hold a current DOT Physical card. ? Other duties as assigned Qualifications: ? Safety and Quality orientated ? Strong Work Ethic ? Excellent Communications skills ?
