DESCRIPTION:
We?re looking for a Cost Engineer who will be expected to:
? Track and maintain cost estimates, man-hour estimates, equipment and material estimates in a refinery setting.
? Work with the Project Managers and Project Controls Manager.
? Check to make sure that there is due diligence of the cost related issues, including but not limited to, ensuring that the project has a work breakdown structure [WBS] that aligns with the estimate and reporting such findings to management.
? Assist management with the development of methodology necessary for effective cost control for projects.
? Manage cost engineering activities including development and implementation of cost control systems; invoice processing activities, monthly cost reporting, trending, FAC [Forecast at Completion] Analysis, cost variance analysis, funding budgets, accruals, cash flows, contingency drawdown, productivity analysis and value engineering analysis.
BACKGROUND:
The ideal Cost Engineer will have:
? Prior turnaround planning experience
? Strong background in Microsoft products
? Owner/operator or construction background
? Be able to work in a fast pace environment
