    Alstom Power is currently seeking a Master Scheduler to join their Turbine Generator Service Workshop located in Richmond, VA.

This Master Scheduler is responsible for the evaluation, planning, tracking and execution of individual project schedules and their integration into a Master Production Schedule for the Service Workshop Repairs Facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Optimizes work flow within and between departments to maximize machine/manpower utilization and minimize schedule conflicts
Overseas the Master Schedule and provides input to all levels of management.
Identifies bottlenecks and manages the workflow sequence and resource availability
Creates work center production planning schedules based on manufacturing capacity, contractual requirements and material availability
Resolves labor and materials resources issues, manage design change, backlogs and other interruptions on the individual projects and master production schedule.
Obtains agreement from project management, engineering, production, supply chain management prior to and during project execution
Analyzes schedule risks and acts to mitigate those risks
Interfaces with key business personnel across all primary functions (project management, supply chain management, production, quality, testing, maintenance and shipping and receiving) to ensure that customer schedules are realistic, attainable, visible and measurable.


Qualifications

Education

Minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree (Business or Engineering preferred)
APICS CPIM Certification desired


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
5 years production planning/control experience
3 years related scheduling experience, preferably in an engineered-to-order manufacturing (job shop) business.
Manufacturing experience in the areas of machining, welding or metal working processes preferred.
Experience in Theory of Constraints
Experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques
Experience with Project Scheduling Software; MS Project preferred.
Should be proficient in the use of ERP systems; SAP is a plus
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must be tactful and persuasive with leadership skills.
Must be proficient with PC office applications (MS Office) and Lotus Notes.
Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
Authorization to work in the US without any further action from Alstom
Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
