  Job Description:            
    Summary
Perform materials planning, production scheduling, and inventory management activities associated with Supporting Manufacturing.
Activities include developing raw materials forecasts, inventory control management, scheduling production activities, materials requirements review, automated system utilization, project management, scheduling dispensing activities, communicating with multiple sites, participate in operation meetings, scenario planning, and overall materials planning and production scheduling management for the facility.

Job Responsibilities
Communicate with other Planner Schedulers to ensure schedules, work orders, campaigns, and materials are in alignment to support the manufacturing process.
Perform production and maintenance scheduling activities (order management) within SAP PP/DS and APO.
Trouble shoot SAP system issues and assist stakeholders with emergent events requiring order management support
Respond to emergent events to support stakeholders groups to resume production and attain MPS.
Coordinate planning and dispensing activities with multiple groups across sites.
Communicate and resolve scheduling conflicts and constraints effectively.
Communicate and resolve materials issues and shortages effectively.
Generate & approve material requests and/or production orders.
Perform materials planning and forecasting activities.
Review material requirements plan against current inventory to determine availability and issues
Assist with other operations associated with the planning and scheduling automation systems.
Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed.
Immediately reports safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety suggestions.
Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations
Schedule could include a non-rotating 4-day (10 hour shift), one weekend day, evening or night hours, or full off-shift hours.
May be required to lift up to 30lbs
Able to provide on-call scheduling support after hours, weekends and holidays.

Skills
Experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of planning concepts such as Kanban, JIT, and world class manufacturing.
Experience in materials planning and production scheduling within a biotech mammalian cell culture process manufacturing environment.
Familiar with GMP procedures and concepts.
Technical knowledge of inventory, planning, and scheduling principles.
Experience in materials planning and production scheduling within a high paced manufacturing process.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage changes in material requirements and dates.
Excellent problem solving and mathematical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and focus attributes.
Highly proficient with computer programs.
Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Visio, Excel, Power Point, Word.
Excellent project management skills.
Demonstrates leadership qualities.
Ability to drive projects to completion.
Ability to work efficiently in a potentially fast paced environment.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers.

Education
SAP PP/DS and APO experience required.
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.
2+ plus years of related experience with Bachelor?s degree.
