| Duties
Project Financial Accountant/Junior Cost Engineer supporting Project Controls Engineer with detailed project accounting service in accordance with procedures. The Company utilizes SAP for Corporate financial/accounting. The responsibility includes invoice review for accuracy and to identify possible cost savings and close-out, benchmarking of final project costs. This role also includes coordination with Vendor Finance, Procurement and Project Managers along with Project Controls Group. Perform other Project Controls duties as assigned. Cost Engineer is responsible for maintaining the accurate current project cost status on a weekly basis. Attend change order meetings and assist Project Manager in validating and pricing the changes across multiple trade specialties. Participate in the review of estimates for completeness and accuracy. Prepare project cash flows, staffing and progress curves as well as overall monthly reports. Skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs. Knowledge of Unifier software and SAP is desirable. Practical and theoretical understanding of project controls tools and methodologies. Basic knowledge of engineering disciplines, building construction, some general PM estimating, scheduling, procurement and contracts. Education Candidate should have 2+ years of project controls experience in the Construction Industry Bachelor?s degree in engineering, construction management, building construction or similar is required or applicable experience. |
