  Job Description:            
    Our Mining & Metals business performs consulting and EPCM services for many of the world?s leading mining companies and is executing world-class projects on five continents.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Based Planner/Scheduler for an underground mining project in the Western United States. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for maintaining the integrated construction schedules for the underground EPCM project in order to meet and/or exceed client expectations. Key responsibilities:
? Maintaining integrated construction schedules.
? Providing planning and scheduling activity input and data for bi-weekly and monthly project reports.
? Maintaining project schedules in order to provide an accurate timeline for the life of the project.
? Preparing schedule progress reports for management and input and development of other weekly and monthly progress reports.
? Ensuring the schedule can be used as an effective management tool by the rest of the EPC team.
? Liaising and interface with contractors, construction and project management and team leads regarding planning and scheduling activities.
? Reviewing project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
? Communicating project risk in timely manner with proposed mitigation so that informed decisions can be made.
? Maintaining the project WBS structure in the schedule by work package.
? Responsible for updating actual hours to planned resources within the schedule.
? Reporting through P-6 weekly earned value reports and graphs by project, contract, work package and discipline.

Role Requirements:
? Engineering Technologist Diploma or Graduate Degree in a related field is considered an asset.
? More than 8 years of experience in project reporting, cost control and construction management support.
? Underground Mining experience is an asset.
? Proven track record of successful project scheduling efforts with a specific emphasis on remote location projects with camp size constraints and regular rotation schedules.
? A strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling software and techniques, including Primavera P6 and MS Project.
? A clear understanding of earned value progressing and monitoring within P-6.
? An understanding of change management and ability to translate this into appropriate action.
