Richmond, VA Posted: 3/5/2014 Category: Project Controls Job Type: - Minimum Experience: 2+ Required Education: BS Degree Benefits: - Job Description Job #3626: Project Controls Specialist-Transmission Projects Responsibilities: Develop, implement and coordinate scheduling, planning, estimating and cost controls for electric transmission construction projects. Prepare cost estimates and develop detailed electric transmission construction project schedules. Develop and maintain cost plan based on approved estimates and schedules. Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure project is proceeding on schedule and within budget. . Interface with other departments to coordinate and intergrate support requirements on construction schedules. Evaluate project field and scope changes for impact on cost and/or schedule and update project budgets Job Requirements Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills and abilities and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches encountered in work assignments Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value added activities. In addition, the following details KSA?s that we would like the candidate to have: Scheduler position Primavera software SAP Microsoft Office Suite Resource/Liaison for/with Construction teams Quantify/Justify schedule change impacts SharePoint MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES No Per Diem being offered.
