Brief Description of Duties:

Project Scheduler needed to support our client?s pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or R&D, lab, office complex capital construction projects

Establishes, maintains, and reports on assigned project schedules with potential integration into an overall program schedule

Issues baseline schedule that includes critical path activities and milestones and provides update/status against that baseline schedule to assess progress and variances

Compiles logic driven schedules utilizing critical path management / CPM methodologies

Provides schedule analysis and communicates schedule status to Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Controls Manager

Creates overall project schedule with input from key stakeholders, contractors, and other team members

Reviews and analyzes contractor schedules to assess progress; challenges accuracy and assesses impact to overall project schedule

Highlights potential threats to accomplishing schedule and suggests corrective actions

Conducts resource loading dependent upon client deliverables and project requirements

Tracks historical schedule data with appropriate benchmarking data to support future project schedules and funding requests.

Ensures thorough understanding of project scope as integrated in to the schedule logic based on assigned work packages

Compiles milestone tracking reports to provide early indicators of the project?s ability to meet specific goals

Clearly communicates schedule plan, restraints, drivers to appropriate project team members

Informs the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager of schedule variances as they become apparent

Participates and facilitates project schedule review meetings and attends other project meetings as required

Mentoring of less experienced staff, as required


Education, Qualifications and Experience

8-15 years of planning and scheduling experience

Experience supporting small and large scale engineering and construction projects

Scheduling training and background with Primavera P6 and MS Project experience

Background in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry a plus
