Planner/ Scheduler: Pipeline/Microsoft Project/Construction Job Description We are looking for some experienced Project Schedulers needed for ongoing contract assignment in Houston office (our Client has a large contingent workforce and contractors are a long-term solution for years, not short term fixes for specific projects). We also have positions in Knoxville, TN, Harrisburg, PA, and Charleston WV. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in project scheduling. A candidate must have served in a leadership role managing project schedules and working directly with construction contractor?s schedules. The ability to communicate within a project team environment and experience with the critical path methodology of schedule analysis is a must. Responsibilities ? Support Engineering and Construction Group with scheduling duties for large scale capital expansions of the pipeline system. ? Monitor and evaluate project schedules through interaction with the Project Manager, Project Team Leads and Project Controls Group in the Construction phase of a project?s lifecycle. ? Prepare weekly and monthly schedule status reports and other project specific reports as requested by the Project Manager and the Project Team. ? Evaluate impacts of project scope changes on project schedules. ? Identify variances from the project baselines and assist with schedule analysis to mitigate schedule delays. ? Assist in the review of Contractor schedule documents for construction of compressor / pipeline facilities. ? Participate in weekly construction meetings to provide written analysis of Contractor schedule documents. Skills and Experience ? Five (5)+ years experience in project scheduling. ? Ability to work within a project team environment. ? Organizational skills required to simultaneously manage multiple project schedules. ? Proficiency with Microsoft Project schedule software. ? Experience with scheduling of large scale engineering and construction projects (linear pipeline projects, multiple facilities (compression/metering) and multiple construction spreads). NOTE: 1. Candidates absolutely need to be proficient in the use of MS Project as exhibited by test scores. (Candidates to be tested in advance of being submitted for consideration and scores proved.) 2. Candidates will provide: a. Resume highlighting Pipeline and/or Compression Experience. b. MS Project Schedule for Pipeline or Compressor Stations in their native MS Project format. c. Written Critical Path analysis.
