You need to make sure your software is set to calculate based on Physical % Complete. The settings include the Enterprise , Node, Project, Resources and Activities. Find the columns in each View and clean it up.

Nobody touches the schedule but the project controls engineer at the dozen projects I scheduled. It is a security the contract requires and I enforce and control. The schedule is the method of communication of project status to the owner in our contracts. It is how the contract is paid.

I only use Physical % Complete because when I mark my standards of Physical % Complete (5% mobilization or starts the activity, 5%-95% based on my estimate of task completion, 100% on acceptance), the software awards that % of the cost and OD.
