Flaw #2 The Critical Path is not all that critical.
It is, as we all know; simply, the Longest Path. The scheduler may have one or two activities that are important to get started in the lead-off in a critical path, but let?s face it; the remaining critical activity list seldom has urgent critical status. Most likely, the real critical activities, have only Near-Critical status. So use your common sense instead of relying on a computer generated critical path, zero Total Float does not rule real criticality. Let your knowledge of construction be the common denominator in order to create a coded Worklist of critical items and keep track of these items regardless of total float.
