Flaw #1 There isn?t a scheduler made, who can accurately predict that a specific activity will occur a year down the road; let alone several hundred or several thousands of activities.
Predicting that an activity is to start on a given day or finish on a given day in a month, a week, and in many situations, even one lousy day; is not possible. About the only activity that has a chance is the NTP or the Notice to Proceed. Even when I got the information from the ?horse?s mouth,? the contractor?s scheduler, one day prior to a start date, it doesn?t happen. Contractors cannot even accurately predict a one week look-ahead, and they are running the jobs! So, where does that leave the scheduler? With a ?Worklist.?
