Let 's have a discussion  (mike vergis - 01/24 04:16:56)

I believe that construction schedules are based on the fact that "the schedule follows the construction process" and not the other way around." My reasons are base on several things, but most importantly on the premise that there are too many built-in flaws in computer generated schedules. I like to refer schedules as "work-lists" with "don't pay to much attention to the start and finish dates that never seem to jive with actual construction. However, having stated this opinion, it is absolutely necessary for a schedule (work-list) to be computer generated in order to track progress, make forecasts, determine work rates, and calculate physical per cent complete while keeping contractors honest.

Even though I prove my point time and time again on projects, nobody ever wants to accept the simple facts. What is your opinion?
